Is it cheating on your mate/spouse to have a cyber affair?

my thought is, that if a person no longer has sex with their partner, for what ever the reason, than no. But if a person stops having a relationship with their partner because they prefer to cyber, that would be yes.

Good point Mike. My hubby knows that I come to mcc and occasionally cyber and so it is not cheating. However I agree with you Mike.

I think myself that if either of the couple cyber and each of them knows and agrees then it is not cheating. I definitely think it is cheating if one of the couple is unaware that the other one is cybering. words are spoken, emotions are being experienced..it may just be the internet and not in person but there is definitley a relationship of sorts going on and plenty of interacting. What goes on in the cybering could alter the lovemaking between the couple later on that day or make one person want more than the other is willing to give..all kinds of changes could take place which would affect the couples relationship. In my opinion, it is cheating

To me, cybering is telling each other what you would like to do to them by describing it with words. IT's sort of internet sex without the physical contact.

Well we know what funherewithu2's definition is then.. (rolls her eyes!). . but gym-bob you can telll someone what u want to do to them sexually over the internet without them agreeing! So in your mind..does that still makeit cybering?

Had it done to me recently. I know theres no physical touching etc, but its hurtful to think that your not enough to please your man. Also when things of a complimentary nature are said to other girls it makes you think that your inadequate. If you feel the need to have 'pretend' sex then get out of a relationship and do it til ure willy drops off

I say yes. If your getting something "special" from someone other than your partner physically or emotionally then I would consider it cheating.

If you have an emotional attachment to it then I do consider it cheating but if it's just to get your rock's off then I consider it just as harmful as watching porn.
